About dubtrivia
How this started
dubtrivia began as a learning project. I wanted to get hands-on with Claude Code and needed something worth building — not just a throwaway exercise, but something I’d actually want to use myself.

Accurate representation of how dubtrivia was built
I’ve always been into trivia, so a daily trivia game felt like a natural fit — I can learn coding and maybe learn some new facts along the way. That said, if something is wrong with a question, answer, or the fact I provide about the answer, that is entirely on me. I do my best to make sure they are totally clear and correct but it’s possible I mess something up — if I do, send me a note.
The Jeopardy connection
A friend and co-worker of mine was lucky enough to get on Jeopardy. To my absolute surprise, he gave me a shoutout. Honestly, a lifetime highlight. Anmol didn’t win but just getting on Jeopardy is a huge accomplishment. Plus he nailed Final Jeopardy — pretty damn impressive if you ask me.
Come play with me
When you sign up you’ll automatically be connected to me (@josh) as your first friend. I may have a bit of an advantage as I do obviously create the questions — but I’ve pre-loaded 30 days worth and the plan is to always keep it that way. So over time I’m hoping I genuinely won’t remember the answers and can play just like everyone else.
Invite your friends, build your streak, and let’s see how well you really know the world.
I’d love to hear from you
Have an idea? Found a bug? Want to say hi? I read every message and reply to all of them. Drop me a note on the contact page.
